 – It’s been four days since teachers all across the state walked out of class.

The Red for Ed movement shows no signs of stopping. Teachers across the state are demanding a pay and funding increase in schools.

Governor Doug Ducey has presented a plan, but it’s unclear what the next step will be. As for Sunday, plans are done, but Fox 10 is learning more about what the plan is for tomorrow.

There will be another rally on Monday morning at the Capitol from 10 a.m. to noon where teachers and supporters are expected to gather.

From 12 p.m. to 1 p.m. there is a duty-free lunch. And then from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. there will be a work session.

Those from the Arizona Education

Association will potentially be holding meetings with lawmakers on Monday, but what progress they’ll make may not be known until Monday night.

The president of the American Federation of Teachers is expected to be in town Monday morning not only supporting the teachers but helping ask for more funding from the governor.

This will be at 11 a.m. at the Wesley Bolin Plaza right by the Capitol.

Lastly, we’re told there will be counter-protesters on Monday from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Those a part of the counter-protest are including parents and those who don’t agree with the teachers walking out of the classroom.

There will be many school closures continuing Monday, several districts including Chandler, Mesa, Phoenix and Tempe.
